Decision Support System and Sustainable Development of Society

Abstract

Information and access to information, knowledge, development policy and decision making are imminent topics in discussions on sustainable development. It is necessary to improve decision making concerning economic development and environmental protection at local, national, and international levels. Interdisciplinary research on decision-making for sustainable development should include the identification of overall requirements for information systems. Decision support system requires the application of the full potential of advanced computer technologies- like telecommunication, multimedia, geographic information systems, expert systems etc. In this I try to outline about decision support systems which l helps achieve sustainable development.
